The highly-anticipated teaser for Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Rama, was unveiled on April 2. However, some viewers expressed criticism regarding the visual effects and other aspects of the teaser. In response, producer Namit Malhotra took to social media to address the feedback.

Ramayana is set to be released in two parts, scheduled for Diwali 2026. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra along with Yash under the banners of Prime Focus Studios and DNEG, the film is backed by a significant budget estimated at ₹4000 crore. Acclaimed composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman are collaborating on the film’s score, ensuring a powerful auditory experience.
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor plays the dual roles of Rama and Parashuram. Other notable cast members include Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana.
