Niharika Konidela Expresses Shock After Learning About Ram Charan’s Injury

Actor Ram Charan experienced an injury on the set of his latest film, Peddi, while filming an action sequence. The incident initially went unaddressed by either his family or the film crew, but reports soon emerged detailing the event. Niharika Konidela, Ram’s cousin and an actor-producer, expressed her surprise and concern upon learning of the injury through a press interaction.

During a promotional event for her upcoming horror-comedy Rakasa in Tirupati, a reporter referenced the accident involving Ram. Niharika’s reaction was immediate; she appeared shocked and bewildered, responding with a hesitant “Huh?” as she looked around for more context. The sudden nature of the news suggested she was unaware of the situation before it was brought to her attention.

An explanation from another attendee clarified the situation, prompting Niharika to politely admonish the reporter for their abrupt delivery of the news. Her words conveyed a sense of disbelief as she justified her lack of prior knowledge, saying she hadn’t even checked her phone after arriving from a flight. The concern for her brother was apparent as she processed the shocking information.

Despite her distress, Niharika managed to continue with the press conference, looking to her team for updates on her brother’s condition. However, her growing apprehension led her to cut the conference short, requesting her phone to call her family. “Sir, you are scaring me,” she said, expressing her worry and the urgency of the situation.

According to a source from Ram’s team, he sustained an injury near his eye while filming Peddi. The injury required four sutures, though it was clarified that it was not serious enough to affect his eye directly. Later in the day, the film’s team confirmed that it was a ‘minor injury to the left eye.’

Ram’s father, esteemed actor Chiranjeevi, took to Instagram to share his gratitude following Ram’s surgery to repair the eyelid. He acknowledged the skill and precision of Dr. Sudhakar Prasad, who performed the procedure. Chiranjeevi expressed relief, noting that what began as a moment of concern was alleviated thanks to the doctor’s expertise and care.

Ram Charan’s injury has not only sparked discussions around safety on film sets but also highlighted the close-knit nature of the film industry, where family and colleagues show genuine concern for one another’s well-being. Following the incident, fans and fellow actors have reached out with their best wishes for a swift recovery.
