Peddi’s Release Delayed to April Due to Tough Competition from Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic

Recent developments in the Indian film industry have led to notable changes in release dates for several anticipated movies. Actors Ram Charan and Adivi Sesh had previously committed to releasing their films, Peddi and Dacoit, in March. However, both projects have now been postponed, paving the way for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh to take center stage against other major releases.

On March 26, Ustaad Bhagat Singh will make its theatrical debut, according to Mythri Movie Makers. The producers expressed excitement about the film, captioning their announcement with a call for audiences to “cheer, whistle, and stomp” for this star-studded production featuring Power Star and Cult Captain. The enthusiasm leading up to its release suggests a strong confidence in its box office potential.

Further developments surrounding Peddi have emerged, as its director Buchi Babu Sana announced on social media that the film’s release has been shifted to April 30, 2026. Ram Charan also confirmed the new date alongside a fresh poster for the movie. In addition, Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit has also adjusted its release date to April 10 from March 19, creating further uncertainty regarding Nani’s The Paradise, which is still scheduled for March 26.

As a result of these shifts, the landscape is now set for a clash between Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic. Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the film that achieved over ₹1000 crore in worldwide box office revenue, is highly anticipated. The first part of the franchise received a positive response, even post its Netflix release, generating substantial buzz for the second installment.

Meanwhile, Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas and featuring Yash, has been shot in both English and Kannada, with plans for releases in other South Indian languages and Hindi. This film carries high expectations as it marks Yash’s follow-up to the blockbuster KGF series, which significantly raised his profile in the industry.

The competitive release schedule sets the stage for an exciting summer at the box office, with audiences eager to see how these films perform against one another in the coming months.
