Prabhas’s Performance in Raja Saab Will Leave a Lasting Impression

Anticipation is building for the upcoming film “The Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi and starring Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Niddhi Agerwal. Scheduled for release in theaters on January 9, 2026, this horror-comedy thriller promises to showcase Prabhas in a unique look as he ventures into a genre fans are excited to see him explore.

Director Maruthi has recently heightened expectations by revealing that viewers will witness a side of Prabhas that has never been seen before. In a video statement, he shared that the film will leave a lasting impression on audiences. He emphasized that while Telugu audiences have enjoyed Prabhas in entertaining roles, the Pan-Indian market is in for a surprise with this new interpretation of the beloved actor.

Maruthi highlighted the film’s commitment to providing a fresh experience, stating, “Everyone has gone to their extent to give a new experience.” He further elaborated on Prabhas’s transformation, mentioning that the actor’s signature style shines through in his demeanor and the meticulous attention he has given to the character’s details—right down to how he interacts with his environment on screen.

“The Raja Saab” was officially announced back in January 2024, with filming commencing in 2022. Despite facing several release delays, it is now set to compete with various other Telugu and Tamil films during the Sankranthi festival period. The storyline revolves around a character trying to sell his ancestral property, only to encounter supernatural elements complicating his plans.

Alongside Prabhas, the film features a notable cast including Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, with music by Thaman S. As excitement mounts for its release, promotional materials have hinted at an engaging tale blending humor and horror, making “The Raja Saab” a film to watch in early 2026.
