Rajinikanth Addresses Aadhav Arjuna’s Claims on Politics and DMK Threats

Rajinikanth has recently addressed allegations made by Aadhav Arjuna, the general secretary of a political party led by actor Vijay. Aadhav claimed that Rajinikanth chose to avoid politics due to threats from DMK. The veteran actor shared his response through a statement on his X account.

In his statement, Rajinikanth expressed gratitude to several public figures and fans who condemned the accusations. He acknowledged support from political leaders including Edappadi Palaniswami, Nainar Nagendran, and Union Minister L. Murugan, among others. Rajinikanth conveyed his appreciation for the backing he received during this period of controversy.

He continued by thanking his colleagues from the film industry and media representatives who stood by him. Rajinikanth emphasized the significance of his fans, referring to them as deities in his life, and hinted that the truth will eventually emerge over time.

The controversy ignited when Aadhav Arjuna alleged that the DMK had threatened Rajinikanth, claiming this intimidation played a role in the actor’s decision not to enter politics. This development follows Rajinikanth’s earlier announcement in December 2020, where he intended to launch a political party ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

However, he later retracted his political ambitions, citing concerns about his health, which he interpreted as a divine warning. Instead, Rajinikanth committed to serving the people without participating in electoral politics.

In the backdrop of this political discourse, the Election Commission of India announced that Tamil Nadu will conduct its elections on April 23, 2024, with the results expected to be declared on May 4.
