Ranveer Allahbadia Responds to Saurav Gurjar’s Threat Amid Controversy

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia found himself at the center of a controversy following his comments on the show “India’s Got Latent.” The backlash stemmed from remarks he made relating to parents and sex, which were deemed inappropriate by many. Among the critics was actor Saurav Gurjar, who issued a threat to Allahbadia in response to his comments. Recently, Allahbadia has addressed these threats, expressing a desire to invite Gurjar onto his podcast.

In February, Saurav Gurjar, recognized for his role as Bhima in the TV adaptation of “Mahabharat” and his wrestling career in WWE, publicly condemned Ranveer’s remarks. He stated that Allahbadia’s words were unacceptable and called for actions to be taken against him. Gurjar’s remarks highlighted a need to protect future generations and uphold moral standards, emphasizing his anger towards what he characterized as shameless behavior. He warned that if they crossed paths in Mumbai, Allahbadia would not be safe.

Responding to the threats during a podcast with fellow YouTubers Abhyudaya Mohan and Gautami Kawale, Ranveer Allahbadia reacted with amusement, recalling Gurjar’s character from “Mahabharat.” He expressed surprise that Gurjar, taking the persona of Bheem, would issue such threats. When asked whether he would invite Gurjar to his own podcast, Allahbadia indicated he would, fondly referencing his admiration for Gurjar’s role in the classic show, provided that the actor promises not to follow through on his threat.

This incident is part of a larger controversy surrounding the “India’s Got Latent” program, where Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments to a contestant raised eyebrows and led to significant backlash. His inquiry was perceived as highly inappropriate, prompting several FIRs against him and others involved in the show. Although Allahbadia issued a public apology on social media, the fallout led to the removal of all episodes of “India’s Got Latent” from the host’s channel.

Following this turmoil, Ranveer Allahbadia reported facing intense online abuse and threats. However, by March, the Supreme Court allowed him to continue posting his podcasts, with stipulations. The court mandated that his content must adhere to standards of ‘morality and decency’ and be appropriate for a wider audience, reflecting a conscious effort to balance creative expression with social responsibility.
