Ranveer Singh Humble About Rajinikanth’s Impact, Excited for Jailer 2

During the recent International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, celebrated superstar Rajinikanth was honored for his remarkable 50-year career in cinema. Among the attendees was actor Ranveer Singh, who took the opportunity to express his admiration for Rajinikanth and share his excitement for the upcoming film “Jailer 2.”

As Rajinikanth took to the stage, the audience erupted in applause, showing their deep appreciation for the legendary actor. In response to hosts Jay Bhanushali and Tisca Chopra’s request for comments, Singh humbly stated, “I am too small to be speaking about this level of greatness,” reflecting Rajinikanth’s iconic status in the film industry. He also shared his enthusiasm for “Jailer 2” by quoting the film’s famous dialogue, ‘Hukum!’, prompting the audience to join him in the moment, much to Rajinikanth’s delight.

Regarded as one of the most successful stars in Tamil cinema, Rajinikanth boasts a massive fan base across India. He began his journey in the entertainment industry with his debut in the 1975 film “Apoorva Ragangal,” initially taking on negative roles before transforming into a hero with immense box office appeal and a dedicated following.

Rajinikanth’s recent filmography includes his daughter’s project, “Lal Salaam,” as well as “Vettaiyan” directed by TJ Gnanavel. In 2024, he appeared in “Coolie,” which achieved impressive commercial success, grossing ₹518 crore worldwide. Presently, he is in production for the sequel to his blockbuster “Jailer,” where he reprises the role of ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. Alongside him, Ramya Krishnan is returning, and Shiva Rajkumar has confirmed a cameo appearance. Notably, actor Balakrishna is also set to feature prominently in the film.

In addition to these projects, Rajinikanth is scheduled to work on a new film with fellow superstar Kamal Haasan, further solidifying his status within the industry. With an illustrious career and numerous projects in the pipeline, Rajinikanth continues to captivate audiences and inspire future generations of filmmakers and actors.
