As of day 23, “Dhurandhar,” featuring Ranveer Singh, has amassed ₹668 crore, securing a place among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. The film saw a respectable collection of ₹172 crore in its third week alone, with day 22 revenues reaching ₹15 crore and ₹20.50 crore net on day 23, according to early estimates.
The film’s Hindi occupancy rate stood at 37.21% on Saturday, indicating strong viewer interest. Notably, “Dhurandhar” has eclipsed the lifetime earnings of “Kalki 2898 AD,” which collected ₹646.31 crore in India. Its record-breaking run solidifies its status as a major hit of 2025.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar” features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, among others. Although reviews have been mixed, it has garnered significant affection from both critics and audiences alike.
The film intricately weaves covert intelligence operations with real-world geopolitical events, such as the Kandahar plane hijack and the 2001 Parliament Attack. It tells the story of an underworld network populated by criminals, informants, and operatives, navigating the dangerous waters of espionage and betrayal.
Released on December 5, “Dhurandhar” was produced by Aditya Dhar alongside Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, with backing from Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
Looking ahead, fans can anticipate the sequel, “Dhurandhar 2,” set to hit theaters on March 19 next year.
