Sara Ali Khan Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput’s Impact on Her Journey

Actor Sara Ali Khan recently celebrated the seventh anniversary of her debut film, Kedarnath, which was released on December 7, 2018. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she reflected on her experiences during the shoot and expressed gratitude to her late co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sara’s post highlighted her nostalgic feelings about her early days in the film industry. She stated, “If only I could go back to 2017… not to change a single moment but to relive, cherish and truly appreciate every nanosecond of that magical time.” Her fond memories emphasize the lasting impact that the film and the experiences surrounding it have had on her.

In her message, Sara expressed deep appreciation for the lessons learned during the making of Kedarnath. She acknowledged her ongoing connection to the location and its significance in her life, noting, “But I really am grateful for all that it gave me and all that it taught me.” This connection is particularly strong whenever she returns to the valley where the film was shot.

Sara took the opportunity to thank several key figures connected to her debut. She credited Sushant and director Abhishek Kapoor for introducing her to important aspects of her life, from her newfound love for trekking to her appreciation for traditional cuisine. In a touching conclusion, she emphasized Sushant’s influence on her desire to remain curious and open to learning, reflecting on the wisdom he imparted to her during their time together.

The film Kedarnath featured Sushant as a ‘pithu’ at the revered Kedarnath shrine, providing a dramatic narrative of the devastating flash floods that struck Uttarakhand in June 2013. The film combined elements of romance and drama, successfully resonating with audiences and achieving box office success.

Sara’s connection to Kedarnath continues to shape her career, and her reminiscences serve as a reminder of the powerful bonds formed during the filmmaking process. Currently, she is engaged in new projects, with her latest appearance in Anurag Basu’s film Metro… In Dino, which is available for streaming on Netflix.
