Shah Rukh Khan Reflects on Iconic Om Shanti Om Moment as Oscars Share Clip

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan recently sparked nostalgia after The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shared a memorable clip from his film, Om Shanti Om. His playful reaction included a humorous acknowledgment that made him feel like the “king of the world.”

In the shared clip, which showcases Khan’s iconic award acceptance monologue, he delivers a passionate speech affirming the power of love and desire. He expresses, “I have tried to find you with such intensity that every particle in the universe has conspired to bring you closer to me.” The Academy’s caption accompanying the video emphasized the idea that destiny does not overlook anyone.

Khan shared the clip on his Instagram Stories, expressing gratitude toward The Academy for the nostalgia. His light-hearted remark resonated with fans, clearly demonstrating his fondness for the film’s memorable moments.

Director Farah Khan also joined in the nostalgic fun, thanking The Academy and her followers through her Instagram Stories. She cleverly remarked, “The film is not over yet, my friend,” using a reference from the movie that fans would recognize.

Om Shanti Om, directed by Farah Khan, starred Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone, marking her debut in Bollywood. Released in 2007, this reincarnation-themed film achieved significant commercial success and remains popular among audiences.

Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan is set to star in the upcoming film King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The movie will feature a strong supporting cast, including Suhana Khan, who will make her debut, alongside established actors such as Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan. The film is slated for release on December 24, 2026, generating excitement among fans for Khan’s new project.

Additionally, Farah Khan has announced plans to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan again later this year, much to the delight of their shared fanbase. The two have a successful history of working together, previously uniting on projects like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year.
