Shreya Ghoshal Expands Her Real Estate Portfolio with ₹30 Crore Apartment

Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has made headlines with her recent real estate purchase in Mumbai. Alongside her parents, she acquired an apartment in the upscale area of Worli for ₹30 crore, according to property registration records accessed by CRE Matrix.

This acquisition is the second apartment the Ghoshal family has purchased within the Godrej Trilogy development, a luxury residential complex known for its sea-facing properties. Their first investment was a 2,750.3 square foot apartment, which they bought for ₹29.7 crore earlier.

The latest apartment boasts an area of 2,777.84 square feet and includes three parking spaces. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of ₹1.8 crore and registration charges totaling ₹30,000, finalized on April 1, 2026.

The purchase agreement for the new apartment was signed between Embellish Houses Private Limited, Akshay Sthapatya Private Limited, and Shreya Ghoshal’s parents, Sarmistha and Bishwajit Ghoshal. Attempts to reach Ghoshal for comment were unsuccessful.

Located in central Mumbai, Worli has become a prime area for luxury real estate, following South Mumbai and nearby locations like Lower Parel and Bandra. The property prices in this neighborhood are on par with high-end global markets, with premium apartments commanding rates between ₹65,000 and more than ₹1,00,000 per square foot.

The price and size dynamics dictate that homes under ₹8 crore typically measure less than 1,000 square feet, while those between ₹8 crore and ₹16 crore cover 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. Properties within the ₹16 crore to ₹24 crore range usually encompass 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, and those priced between ₹24 crore and ₹32 crore are generally 3,000 to 4,000 square feet. Ultra-premium residences exceeding ₹32 crore offer expansive living spaces exceeding 4,000 square feet.

Worli has seen significant transformation over the past two decades, evolving from an industrial area into a curated lifestyle hub. Approximately 4-5 million square feet of high-end residential and retail space is currently under construction, further enhancing the locality’s allure.

The area now encompasses luxury condominiums, prestigious office spaces, and high-end amenities, appealing to affluent residents and businesses. Its proximity to major commercial districts, including the Bandra Kurla Complex, adds to its desirability.

Additionally, the Mumbai real estate market garnered attention last year when pharmaceutical magnate Leena Gandhi Tewari purchased two lavish, sea-facing duplex apartments in Worli for an extraordinary ₹639 crore. This reflects the growing trend of premium property investments in the region.

In summary, Ghoshal’s recent purchase underscores the ongoing appeal of Worli within the high-end real estate market, marked by robust pricing and significant developments that cater to upscale living standards.
