Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal,” featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, made a significant impact upon its release in 2023, grossing ₹915 crore worldwide. The film also stars Srinath Maganti as Rashmika’s brother. Srinath recently shared his insights about working alongside Ranbir during a podcast interview.
In his discussion, Srinath highlighted the invaluable experience of collaborating with a star of Ranbir’s caliber. He noted the familial legacy of acting that Ranbir carries—his grandfather Raj Kapoor and father Rishi Kapoor are both iconic figures in Bollywood. Srinath expressed admiration for Ranbir’s dedication to his craft, emphasizing what a “huge learning experience” it was for him.
Srinath further elaborated on Ranbir’s approachable demeanor on set. He remarked that Ranbir doesn’t have the typical star attitude; instead, he fosters a friendly working environment. Describing a humorous incident, Srinath recounted how a selection of healthy snacks is always available on set, intended for everyone. He amusingly recalled the moment he first took a snack, only to be playfully corrected that it was meant for Ranbir. Upon hearing this, Ranbir encouraged him to enjoy the food, showcasing his warm nature.
After “Animal” debuted in December 2023, Srinath took to Instagram to reflect on his experience with Ranbir. He posted a selfie with the actor and expressed his gratitude, calling it a significant learning curve. His heartfelt message conveyed respect and fondness for Ranbir, whom he referred to as “my ANIMAL brother.”
Looking ahead, Ranbir has been relatively quiet since the release of “Animal” and “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” in 2023. In “Animal,” he portrayed dual roles, including Ranvijay Singh and the antagonist Aziz Haque, who is expected to return in the sequel, “Animal Park.” Rashmika plays his wife in the film, further adding depth to the storyline.
Currently, Ranbir is engaged in shooting for “Ramayana: Part 1 and 2,” slated for theatrical release during Diwali in 2026 and 2027. The film features his co-stars Sai Pallavi and Yash, promising to be a notable addition to his filmography. In addition, he has a project titled “Love & War” lined up alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, marking an exciting period ahead for the actor.
