Старі добрі голлівудські зірки в нових ролях: фантазії AI

Hollywood star Tom Cruise may be bidding farewell to the Mission: Impossible franchise with his upcoming film, “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” set for release in 2025. However, fans seem reluctant to let go of the iconic spy series. An AI artist named Rishav Kumar recently took to Instagram with a creative twist, reimagining the cast of the series with familiar Indian faces while promoting a fictional revamped version of the Hindustan Ambassador car.

Kumar shared a series of AI-generated images on Instagram, captioning them, “MI:9 cast in India – BTS photos from look test with the star of the movie – THE AMBASSADOR 2026.” The images depict Cruise dressed in traditional Indian attire, including a sherwani and a turban, posing alongside an updated Ambassador adorned with a rangoli design. Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and Ranveer Singh also feature prominently, with the scene set in the vibrant landscape of Rajasthan.

In a further post, Kumar imagined the Ambassador car as a luxurious competitor to global brands like Rolls Royce and Bentley, stating, “MI:9 will be introducing the ambassador to the world, setting a new benchmark for Indian luxury cars.” The visuals showcase the fictional MI9 cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, standing together on a red carpet, with one photo featuring Bachchan behind the wheel of the luxurious vehicle, flanked by the ensemble cast.

Responses to Kumar’s creative project have been mixed yet appreciative. One Instagram user praised the “incredible vision,” while another expressed disappointment upon realizing it was an AI creation, though they still acknowledged the quality of the work. Comments varied from thinking the images looked real to suggestions that this concept should be adopted for an actual marketing campaign for the Ambassador car.

Turning to the recent activities of the involved stars, Amitabh Bachchan is currently shooting a sequel to Nag Ashwin’s hit “Kalki 2898 AD,” which was released in 2024. Ranveer Singh’s latest success, “Dhurandhar,” grossed over ₹3000 crore globally, and he is enjoying a strong phase in his career. Deepika Padukone, who recently appeared in “Fighter” and “Singham Again,” is also filming “King” alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s “Raaka” with Allu Arjun. Priyanka Chopra is engaged in shooting for SS Rajamouli’s “Varanasi” alongside Mahesh Babu, while Tom Cruise recently starred in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” and is lined up for his upcoming project, “Digger.”

The imaginative fusion of international and Indian cinema, as illustrated by Kumar’s AI art, underscores the potential for cross-cultural storytelling and the enduring appeal of iconic franchises like Mission: Impossible, even as they evolve into new contexts.
