Actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol made their first public appearance since the passing of their father, the legendary Dharmendra, at a prayer meeting held in his honor in Mumbai. The emotional gathering took place at a hotel and was marked by heartfelt moments as the brothers greeted guests.

Following a private funeral, the Deol family hosted the prayer meet, which attracted several notable figures from the film industry. Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89, was remembered fondly as friends and family paid their tributes. Images from the event showcased Sunny and Bobby in simple white attire, with Sunny greeting attendees with folded hands, visibly emotional as he honored their father’s memory.

The entire Deol family displayed their grief throughout the ceremony, which commenced at 5:30 pm and ended around 8 pm. Their shared sorrow was palpable as they stood together, reflecting on their loss during this significant occasion for Dharmendra.

The prayer meet, aptly named Celebration of Life, took place in the picturesque lawns of Taj Lands End in Bandra. Various family members, including Karan Deol and Abhay Deol, were present, underscoring the close-knit nature of the family during this difficult time.

The gathering attracted numerous celebrities who came to pay their respects, including members of Shah Rukh Khan’s family, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, and Madhuri Dixit, among others. The attendance of such luminaries highlighted Dharmendra’s impactful legacy in the film industry, celebrating a career that spanned decades and touched countless lives.

Dharmendra’s demise occurred just weeks before his 90th birthday, a stark reminder of the passing of an era in Indian cinema. Following his death on November 24, he was cremated a day later, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished within the film community and beyond.
