Tu Yaa Main Day 2 Box Office: Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor Film Earns ₹1 Crore

Tu Yaa Main,” directed by Bejoy Nambiar, made its theatrical debut but struggled to attract audiences in its opening weekend. With disappointing earnings, the film only managed to collect approximately ₹60 lakh on Friday, followed by ₹1.09 crore on Saturday, totaling ₹1.69 crore thus far.

The film featured 1,186 showings across India, which resulted in an occupancy rate of just 16.8%. Reviews have pointed out that the film, which stars Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav, attempts to blend the survival thriller genre with social commentary.

In the Hindustan Times review, Adarsh Gourav’s performance received notable praise, particularly for his portrayal as a rapper. The review commended the film’s commitment to the survival thriller genre and its engaging narrative. It noted the film’s ability to evoke a range of emotions, from laughter to tension, while keeping the audience invested in the storyline despite its occasional absurdity.

Shanaya Kapoor, discussing her role and collaboration with Adarsh, expressed gratitude towards director Bejoy Nambiar and her acting coach for their support. She highlighted the importance of remaining present during performances and not overthinking her scenes. This approach, she believes, helped her deliver a more authentic portrayal of her character, a social media influencer named Avani.

“Tu Yaa Main” features a unique concept where a romantic getaway of social media influencers turns chaotic as they find themselves trapped in a swimming pool with a crocodile. The film is produced by industry veterans Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, and Vinod Bhanushali, marking an ambitious entry into the survival thriller space.
